 Boxing in The District is becoming more popular since the emergence of some recent Champions, Lamont Peterson and soon to be Champion Ty Barnett to name a few.  On Saturday Nov.3rd. some new stars started making their way to the forefront. Jarred "Swift" Hurd captured a 4th.Round Ko to bring his record to 2-0 w/2 Ko's in the Super Welterweight Division@ 156lbs. Jarred "Swift" Hurd is seen below with Head Trainer Nesto Rodriguez and Asst. Trainer Billy Robin warming up and staying focused as he prepares for his bout.  He gets the name "Swift" honestly as his punches and movement in the ring was "Swift and precise nothing short of a great fight for the up and coming fighter out of Hillcrest Boxing Club.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                                       

 Kevin "Smoov" Rivers out of No Excuses Gym prepares for his bout (below) in the lightweight Division@126lbs.  His bout last 8 sec. in the first round as he hit his opponent with a whopping right before I could get my camera ready. Rivers is 2-0 as he makes his mark amongst the Pro ranks, Rivers had a stellar amateur career just coming short of making The Olympic Boxing Team.

 

 

 

The Main Event featured W.B.C.Welterweight Champion Dusty "Hernandez" Harrison 10-0 w/6 Ko's  he captured a 3rd.Rd. Ko with ease over his opponent. Dusty takes a moment with his fans after the fight with Rachel(left) and Model & Actress Jessica Savage(right).
